Foden all smiles because the England squad jet to Euro 2024 days after Iceland loss
Phil Foden was all smiles as the England squad made their way to Germany for Euro 2024.
Gareth Southgate’s hopeful’s left St George’s Park on Monday lunchtime as they packed their bags and headed for Germany. The 26-man squad, that was selected last Thursday, wore an all-black outfit as they waved goodbye to fans.
Jude Bellingham, Eberechi Eze and Kobbie Mainoo were all seen signing autographs with fans. While Kyle Walker posed for selfies before hopping on the coach set for Birmingham Airport.

England will have one night to get used to their new surroundings – in a five-star resort with three golf courses, before their first training session commences on Tuesday June 11.
The Three Lions are then set to roar into action on Sunday (June 16) when they face Serbia in their group stage opener. England then face clashes with Denmark and Slovenia – when, hopefully, the knockout stages await.

Southgate had to make some big calls with his 26-man squad, dropping Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire, while it will be a debut tournament for the likes of Mainoo, Cole Palmer and Adam Wharton.
He explained, on Grealish: “I have just delivered a really difficult conversation to a lad who is devastated. I think the world of him as a kid.
“It certainly doesn’t get any easier. You put yourself in the shoes of a player, a parent. You understand that for these players this is a devastating moment.
“We knew we had a couple of really difficult days coming up. The whole period has been tough, going back to talking to Marcus Rashford and Hendo (Jordan Henderson).”
England’s journey to Germany comes off the back of yet more heartache against Iceland. Jón Dagur Thorsteinsson netted the only goal of the game as England re-lived their Icelandic horror eight years on from that infamous night in Nice.
