Grealish jets off to Dubai after Gareth Southgate axes him from Euro 2024 squad

Jack Grealish has started an unexpected early summer holiday after he was cut from Gareth Southgate’s squad.

The £100million man, 28, wasn’t part of England’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2024. And he’s already kicking his feet up for the summer after the disappointment.

According to The Sun, he’s jetted out to the Middle East, where’s he linked up with his brother, Kevan, and a group of pals in Dubai. Kevan shared snaps of the plush apartment on his Instagram story – where Grealish is expected to join them.

A source told The Sun: “Jack intends to enjoy the unexpected time off.” The report also suggested that he’s planning a holiday with his long-term partner Sasha Attwood, who had been expecting to join WAGs in Germany.

Sasha hasn’t joined Grealish and his pals in the Middle East.

Jack Grealish will now be enjoying his downtime

Southgate admitted that Grealish was devastated after he was cut from the squad. Speaking last Friday, he said: “I have just delivered a really difficult conversation to a lad who is devastated. I think the world of him as a kid.

“It certainly doesn’t get any easier. You put yourself in the shoes of a player, a parent. You understand that for these players this is a devastating moment.

We knew we had a couple of really difficult days coming up. The whole period has been tough, going back to talking to Marcus Rashford and Hendo (Jordan Henderson).

“Lots of difficult calls. But we have worked through all of that.”

The Three Lions open their Euros campaign against Serbia next Sunday (June 9) – but their tournament has already got off to the worst possible start as Southagte’s hopefuls were stunned by Iceland at Wembley.

Jón Dagur Thorsteinsson netted the only goal of the game as England relieved their Iceland horror eight years on from that infamous night in Nice.
