Erik ten Hag’s Man Utd future confirmed as Sir Jim Ratcliffe finishes assessment
Erik ten Hag will remain as Manchester United’s manager following a series of decisive discussions about his future with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the club’s top brass.
Despite considering giving Ten Hag the boot, even after their surprising FA Cup final win over Manchester City last month, the decision has been made to keep him on board.
It was revealed earlier this week that Ratcliffe had even met with ex-Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel in Monaco to assess his interest in the role.

The uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag’s future has caused significant upheaval at Old Trafford over the past two weeks, with Ratcliffe and his team conducting an extensive end-of-season review.
According to the Athletic, this resulted in the decision to retain Ten Hag, who has agreed to stay on despite the prolonged wait.
Now, Ratcliffe and his INEOS colleagues, who assumed control of football operations at Old Trafford in February, will discuss extending Ten Hag’s contract beyond its current June 2025 expiration date.
