Wayne Lineker flattened in combat in Ibiza after defending girls from thugs

Ibiza kingpin Wayne Lineker has been decked by a bunch of rowdy thugs after he gallantly stepped in to protect a lady friend.

Gary Lineker’s brother, aged 62, was seen hitting the deck hard after a scuffle with a lout at 4am on the party hotspot of Ibiza. In a shocking clip that’s gone viral, club mogul Wayne, who owns the iconic O Beach Club among other hotspots, is spotted trying to fend off an aggressor outside Eden bar before collapsing.

The nightlife impresario was out cold for a worrying six minutes, bleeding from his mouth as he lay sprawled on the pavement.

A gobsmacked teen witness described the sickening scene, revealing the scrap kicked off when a yob and his cronies started hassling Wayne’s young female companion.

They said: “It was horrible – he looked like he could have been dead at one point. Wayne just fell on the floor and the man and his friends ran off.

“He was completely unconscious for about 20 minutes at least. He wasn’t really speaking much when he did eventually come back round. I stayed to help him and the police turned up but they weren’t there for long and didn’t really do much and left quickly,” as per The Sun.

Wayne Lineker was spotted leaving in a cab about an hour after a punch-up, but he’s not letting the drama dampen his spirits. Just this Tuesday, the father of four shared an Insta video clinking champagne glasses with who is believed to be the same woman spotted at the bust-up, cheekily captioning it: “Bunny’s back.”

The party-loving socialite also took to Instagram to send birthday wishes to his son Freddie, alongside a flurry of other stories.

Earlier in March, Wayne reached out to footie ace Jack Grealish following news that the Manchester City star didn’t make the cut for Euros 2024. Chatting with the Mirror, Wayne quipped that Southgate’s oversight could mean a win for Ocean Beach, inviting the midfielder to swap Germany for the famed Ibiza hotspot after fans were up in arms over the snub.

Instagram was buzzing when a sports page posted a pic of Jack and Wayne at Lineker’s Ocean Beach, teasing: “BREAKING NEWS. Jack Grealish agrees 4-week loan deal to Ocean Beach HERE WE GO.”

The post, which quickly went viral with nearly 25,000 likes, sparked a wave of witty comments, including a quip from Wayne himself. He said: “Gareth’s loss is our gain. We love hosting Jack at O Beach Ibiza; he’s a great lad! “.
