Concerning footage exhibits distracted Joe Biden wandering off at G7 summit
US President Joe Biden appeared to wander off during a parachute display for G7 leaders.
The Italian army put on an eye-catching performance for world leaders at the summit in Puglia this evening, with separate parachutes marked with the flags of each G7 country.
But the American leader appeared to get distracted and wandered away in video footage of the ceremony. Italian PM Giorgia Meloni then grasped the 81-year-old by the arm and brought him back to watch.
Rishi Sunak and other world leaders gathered around him to witness the end of the display.
Earlier, world leaders agreed to provide a $50billion loan to war-torn Ukraine, using the profits from frozen Russian assets. Mr Biden met with Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelensky where they agreed a bilateral security pact. Mr Zelensky hailed it as a “truly historic day”.
