Reform manifesto newest: Nigel Farage pledges to cease small boats in 100 days

Nigel Farage said the 2024 general election was “step one” in the planned rise of Reform UK as he unveiled the party’s manifesto at an event in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales.

The party’s manifesto included a flagship pledge to “stop the boats” in its first 100 days in power as part of a four-point plan to curb illegal immigration.

The plan included leaving the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), with zero illegal immigrants being resettled in the UK, a new government department for immigration, and migrants crossing the Channel in small boats being returned to France.

Launching the document, Mr Farage said: “This is step one. Our real ambition is the 2029 general election. But this is our first big push. I have been back in this job for a couple of weeks. I sense we are doing really rather well.”
