University college students make haunting discovery after choosing lock of thriller door

University students were left gobsmacked after cracking open a mysterious padlocked door in their bedroom, only to stumble upon a spine-chilling scene straight out of a horror flick.

As they were clearing out their digs for the last time, the students’ nosiness got the upper hand. They’d been eyeing up this locked mystery door all year, and just before they left, they managed to pick the lock.

What they found inside had Twitter – AKA X – buzzing. Social media user WagmanSam spilled the beans about the eerie discovery after they finally flung open the door. Inside was a bizarre shrine with nods to Harry Potter and an unsettling array of candles.

They tweeted: “For context: in my final year uni room there has always been a padlocked door. Yesterday (my final day), we picked it open.” The room hid a beheaded bunny toy, a plastic skull, and loads of candles.

Creepy fake blood handprints smeared on the wall completed the scene, along with a quote from the famous wizarding world. It said: “The chamber of secrets has been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware.”

While some users were freaked out by the macabre findings, others couldn’t get over the wasted space that could’ve been put to good use, with the Harry Potter reference and tacky skull not fooling them one bit.

One user commented: “You have not been sleeping with that around all year my god.” Another chimed in: “The only real atrocity here is all that wasted space you could’ve converted for years. That Harry Potter line and plastic skull ain’t fooling anybody.”

“My only question is why it took so long to open it? ,” asked another user. And people were left wondering the same thing – as the question amassed a staggering 25,000 likes. Another quizzed: “Why would you wait that long to open a door?”

The question hung unanswered, but many users found comfort in a peculiar quote from Harry Potter scrawled on the wall. One tweeter joked: “I found it creepy until that Harry Potter cringe. You can rest easy.”
