UK faces ‘excessive danger menace’ as professional warns week-long ‘excessively sizzling climate’

Britain has been warned to brace itself for extremely hot weather as a heatwave is set to bake the country in just a few days time.

With the ever-changing weather seemingly going from monsoon to cold to threatening to give us some sun, Brits are unsure if we’re even going to get to have any proper summer weather this year. However, experts at Exacta Weather have dropped a bombshell, and claimed that the heat is coming – and it’s coming this weekend.

But the warm weather won’t just be a slight increase in temperature, as they have issued a warning saying that it’ll put the country at “high risk”.

Exacta’s James Madden said: “There is now a quite high risk threat level and growing forecast consensus for some potentially very warm to very hot conditions to arrive across the shores of the UK and Ireland for in and around this weekend and throughout much of next week.

“Temperatures will now start to rise significantly day by day on the various weather apps for in and around this Sunday, June 23, and throughout much of next week, or at least a good few days at the very least.

He added: “This is also in addition to the predominant warm and summery weather due over the coming days, particularly from around Wednesday (tomorrow), when some spots in the south will see temperatures leaning more towards or above 25C (some 6C above-average for June).

“At the absolute bare minimum, we should be looking at a good three to five day very warm and hot period or longer, with potentially excessively hot weather developing during this period (June 23–30) as some major heat gets drawn north thanks to high pressure across our shores.

“Additionally, these temperatures could reach as high as the low to mid-30s in parts of the south at the peak of this within the next several days, with parts further north and into Ireland also potentially seeing the 30C mark being reached from this type of high pressure setup, or at least the high 20s in many parts.”

Madden warned that while the warm weather is welcome, there are now increased health risks because of the previously lengthy cool and unsettled periods we’ve all become accustomed to in recent months.

He warned that during heatwaves or excessive temperatures such as the ones we’re set to experience next week, “more people than usual get seriously ill or die”.

And to make it worse – because we’re British and hot weather scares us – he added: “Again, forewarned is forearmed, particularly with the expectations and pending heat dome and/or super heatwave scenario that we could be facing in what is set to be a very warm to very hot July by the end of the period.”
