Thousands of Swifties have descended Wembley as the sports stadium is glittering with sequins – as Taylor Swift is set to host the second night of her Eras Tour in London.

Last night the American megastar, 34, sent the capital into a frenzy as she delighted 90,000 fans with renditions of Hits Different, Death By A Thousand Cuts and The Black Dog.

But the most stunning moment of the night came as the star took one of the most iconic pop-culture selfies of all time – posing up next to Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte as the delighted royals shared a moment with the singer.

Earlier in the concert, the Prince of Wales had stunned the crowds as he was spotted pulling out his best dad-dancing moves as the trio partied through the concert alongside thousands of other Londoners.

Ms Swift was clearly overwhelmed by the huge crowd in the capital last night and said: ‘Oh my God, London, look what you’ve done. What better way to spend a Friday night than in the most exhilarating city in the world?’

Her first show in London was always going to be special for her as she shares a close affiliation with the capital after she called it her second home for the six years she was dating British actor Joe Alwyn.

Taylor Swift is already familiar with London, having lived in the city with her ex-boyfriend and ‘London Boy’ Joe Alwyn, as well as dating other British heartthrobs such as Harry Styles and Tom Hiddleston.

She’s so familiar with London that she even has a favourite kebab shop and pub, and makes a string of references to the city in her music.

Here, MailOnline looks inside Taylor Swift’s London life:

Taylor Swift fans have revealed a secret shortcut to beat the crowds at the star’s sell-out Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium tonight.

Some 90,000 people are set to descend on Wembley as the Bad Blood songstress starts a mammoth four-day musical marathon at the arena – to the delight of her London fans.

And as the star prepares for her performance in the capital tonight, fans have unveiled secret shortcuts to save time and beat the crowds when travelling via Wembley Park tube station, which is anticipated to become congested with concertgoers tonight.

TikTok user @GMurphy101 shared: ‘Walk down the side of the Wembley arena, turn right onto Empire Way and walk down to the tube station. Takes five to ten minutes – or stay in this queue for hours!’

A Taylor Swift fan was left furious after she was paid a staggering £700 for a VIP ticket which ended up having an ‘obstructed view’.

The frustrated fan took to TikTok as she struggled to see the singer during her first live gig of the iconic Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium on Friday night.

‘Wembley section 123 has an obstructed view of 100% of the diamond stage’, before claiming ‘(ticket was sold as a VIP unobstructed seat).’

She continued: ‘AXS sold this obstructed ticket for £700.’

The user added nevertheless it was a ‘brilliant night’ thanks to Taylor, but wasn’t happy with her purchase as it seemed very overpriced for the view.

The Prince and Princess of Wales‘s official X account posted the adorable photo with the caption: ‘Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!’

During the concert, where the pop star performed in front of fans, celebrities and politicians, as well as her American footballer boyfriend Travis Kelce, the Prince of Wales, 42, was filmed breaking out his best ‘dad dancing’ moves as Taylor sang her hit Shake it Off.

The sweet selfie shared by the Queen of Pop did not mark her first encounter with William.

In November 2013, the pair made headlines when they took to the stage during a charity event to sing a song together – with Jon Bon Jovi.

Prince William took his children to old friend Taylor Swift’s sell-out London gig last night as he celebrated his 42nd birthday – along with fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall, plus Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria.

Taylor kicked off the London leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, performing to fans, celebrities and politicians alike – as well as her American footballer boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The Prince of Wales was among the 90,000-strong crowd in London for the hottest ticket in town – celebrating his 42nd birthday dancing the night away with his three young children Prince George, 10, nine-year-old Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, six.
