Lamine Yamal world file transfer predicted this summer season by Golden Boy award creator

Lamine Yamal has been predicted to be Kylian Mbappe’s replacement in a record-breaking transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Aged just 16, Yamal managed to thrill audiences during his time with Barcelona and Spain at Euro 2024 as he’s quickly become a pivotal player for the national squad that has since progressed into the knockout rounds, reports the Mirror.

His stellar performances have him poised as the top contender for this year’s Golden Boy award as Massimo Franchi, the founder of the accolade, predicts that the young winger has all it takes to fill the boots of Kylian Mbappe at PSG, potentially commanding a record-smashing fee.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if one day, perhaps on 31 August, the newspapers announce that he will be Kylian Mbappe’s replacement at Paris Saint-Germain,” Franchi expressed in an interview with TZ. He speculated that the price tag might even exceed the whopping €222million PSG had earlier paid for Neymar, guessing that it may reach as high as €250million for Yamal.

Despite the huge release clause of €1billion dangling over Yamals contract, ongoing financial concerns might compel Barcelona into accepting a lower offer for the breakout star from La Masia academy.

“When I think of a future superstar, I can only think of Lamine Yamal. His termination clause at FC Barcelona is one billion euros. But Barca has financial problems,” Franchi noted.

“I recently asked Nasser Al-Khelaifi who he would like to sign next. He said that the only big star next season will be coach Luis Enrique. But in this case I don’t believe him. PSG have too much money.”

“The temptation is too great to use it. And I think the temptation will prevail in the end. ‘I can resist everything except temptation’, as Oscar Wilde said.”
