Rescuers will continue searching for Jay Slater today one week after the British teenager went missing in Tenerife.

The 19-year-old apprentice bricklayer has not been seen or heard from since Monday, June 17, when he called a friend to say he was lost, in need of water and out of phone battery as he attempted to return to his accommodation on the island.

Mr Slater’s family have flown to Tenerife to help find him while a GoFundMe appeal to raise money for the search passed its £30,000 target over the weekend.
