War has damaged out over carrying socks with Gen Z saying they need to be pulled up
War is afoot over how you should wear your socks.
Different generations are battling it out over how long they should be. Younger adults, who belong to Gen Z, reckon they should be pulled up your leg.
They believe wearing ankle socks, as millennials are more likely to choose, shows you’re old and uncool.

Social media is full of wannabe fashionistas laying into how other people choose to keep their toes toasty.
Fashion experts say it’s the biggest feet-covering debate since the controversial ‘socks and sandals’ dad look that still divides generations.
Millennials, those born between 1981 and 1996, tend to wear shorter socks which are less visible when wearing shoes.
Gen Z, anyone born from 1997 onwards, prefer ‘crew socks’ which go above the ankle and beyond.
Experts reckon older Brits are now trying to copy the younger generation in a bid to stay cool and hip.
Esme Wade, from fashion brand LOVALL, said: “The sock phenomenon is defining the difference between Gen Zs and millennials.
“It’s an unusually specific accessory trend that divides the generations, and not something seen before.
“The only comparable might be the ‘socks and sandals’ dad look that still divides opinions between generations of parents and teens.”
It’s “safe to say the millennials are catching onto the trend”, she added.
She said:“Crew socks have been gaining in popularity. Like any fashion trend, it often kickstarts with the youngest generation.
”And Gen Z has decided crew socks are the way to go.”
