‘Do it for Ivana Knoll’ – the Daily Star’s plea to Gareth Southgate and England
Gareth Southgate, this is our message, no plea, when facing Slovenia – score three or more goals.
Don’t do it to the prove to the nation you’re an attacking manager, we’ve never doubted you. And don’t do it to prove to Gary Lineker that England aren’t ‘sh*t’ – leave him to flog some crisps and mouth off on his podcast.
Do it, instead, for former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll – we are not ready to wave goodbye to her just yet.

You see, Gareth, you hold the key to Croatia’s future. In the third place rankings, Slovenia are ahead of their Balkan rivals on goal difference, but that could all change if they ship three goals.
And we all want to see Croatia in the knockout stages. Yes, Modric’s last dance at an international tournament would be nice, but we, at Daily Star Sport, are all in for Ivana.

Ivana has made us forgive Croatia for that night in 2018, when England’s chances of reaching a first World Cup final since 1966 were dashed by Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic.
The bombshell brunette was the star of the show in Qatar – and she’s just getting started in Germany. The matching fluffy bra and trousers against Spain were iconic – and so too was her plunging white top as Croatia faced Albania.
Monday night was Ivana’s best look so far, donning some heart shaped shades she almost spilled out of checked top that showed off her curves.
Ivana herself isn’t ready to go home yet too, and she told BILD ahead of Euro 2024: “I’m coming to Berlin on June 10th. Croatia will play against Spain there on June 15th. Four days later I’ll be in Hamburg for the game against Albania.
“And then on June 24th I’ll be in Leipzig for the match against Italy.
“I’ll be following all of Croatia’s games and hope to stay in Germany until the final.”
England’s result isn’t the be-all-and-end-all for Croatia.
Denmark have to beat Serbia, Portugal must beat Georgia and Turkey need a result against Czechia… but it’s not impossible.
So Gareth, let Daily Star Sport speak for the nation, keep Ivana Knoll in Germany.
