Vampire vagina remedy which may deal with pelvic-floor weak point

A new therapy which is similar to a vampire facial for your vagina is said to treat bladder leaks and vaginal dryness.

Women’s health specialist Dr Sarah Jenkins, from London, who has more than 10 years of experience as an NHS doctor, appeared on This Morning to reveal how intimate health procedures can be life-changing for women.

Dr Sarah explained that she uses PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) injections to help rejuvenate the vulva and vagina after menopause or birth.

‘This isn’t an indulgent treatment, it’s about managing medical symptoms that there is no other treatment available for,’ she said.

She added: ‘We use tiny little Botox needles, so it wouldn’t even hurt any more than Botox, and we inject into the clitoris, which is called the O shot, and we inject all around the vagina and that actually helps to rejuvenate the skin.’

The O shot is injected into the clitoris, labia and into the vaginal wall to enhance sensation, tighten vaginal laxity and increase lubrication.

PRP injections uses a patient’s own blood cells to accelerate healing in a specific area. It’s an alternative to using hormone replacement therapy for those suffering from vaginal atrophy and related symptoms such as pain, dryness and recurrent bladder infections.

A sample of the patient’s blood is taken and the PRP is separated off from the other blood cells and injected into the patient, which stimulates growth factors, fibroblasts and a healing cascade evidenced to improve many common female intimate health issues.

Dr Sarah explained: ‘So you take your patient’s own blood, it is like liquid gold. You inject it in. That sends signals to the body to say there is tissue damage.

What is an O-Shot?

A sample of a patient’s blood is taken and the platelet rich plasma is separated from the other blood cells and injected into the clitoris of the patient.

Most patients seeking the treatment may be dealing with symptoms from the menopause such as vaginal dryness, or lack of sensation post childbirth, however anyone can avail of the treatment.

Benefits of the procedure:

Increased clitoral sensitivity

Improve intimate relationships and sex drive

Improve lack of sensation post childbirth

Rejuvenate the vulva

Improve symptoms of dryness, itch or burning sensation

Used to treat Atrophy of the Vulva

Used to improve symptoms of lichen sclerosis

‘And because of that all these lovely growth factors in your blood come along and cause collagen and elastin to be reformed. It thickens the skin back up and it also helps with natural lubrication and to tighten a little bit.’

The healing properties in the plasma and platelets stimulate stem cells — creating new blood vessels and nerves.

One of Dr Sarah’s patient’s, mother-of-three Gina Sigobodhla, was on the show to explain her own success story after suffering from ‘a third-degree tear’ during the birth of her first son.

After a traumatic birth of her twins she was suffering with preeclampsia and she started to feel like her body was no longer her own.

Gina, 46, revealed she was struggling with low libido, incontinence, and a complete lack of sexual confidence.

However after undergoing a vampire vagina treatment, Gina said she feels back to her best self.

She said: ‘Most of the symptoms have reduced, for example going up and down to the toilet at night it used to be three, four or five times, also the dryness as well, that sensation has come back.

‘It was after three months I started to feel something has actually changed, I gave my full trust in Dr Sarah because the research was done. ‘

Dr Sarah added: ‘It gives women back their quality of life. If you are waking up thinking how is my vulva going to be behaving today, how many changes of clothes do I need to take with me, how many pads do I need to wear, are the pads I am wearing going to give me thrush, will I get a nappy rash, where is the toilet, how will I do this journey to work, do I smell of urine, these are the things women say to me.

‘And they don’t need to have had a traumatic childbirth, they don’t need to have had children at all.’
