Ex-Wimbledon champion and ‘world’s hottest athlete’ seems to be unrecognisable
Maria Sharapova may be edging closer to her 40s, but the tennis star is still looking stunning as ever.
The Russian-born star and five-time Grand Slam champion, 37, has been snapped looking fresh-faced at this year’s Wimbledon – proving she’s still got it off the court.
Despite retiring back in 2020, Sharapova’s leaving fans absolutely floored with her youthful glow and healthy look, reports the Express.

The tennis ace made a grand return to Wimbledon, captured by the tournament’s official Instagram account, as they captioned the post: “Welcome back to Centre, @mariasharapova” and a waving hand emoji.
Sharapova’s stunning appearance sparked a frenzy among fans, with one person gushing: “Wow! She looks amazing. Wimbledon suits her well” paired with a wink emoji.
Another was left shook, posting: “Can’t believe it’s 20 years.”
And a third chimed in with: “It’s a pleasure to see you healthy and happy Maria. Keep smiling.”

The tennis star burst onto the scene back in 2004, leaving tennis fans gobsmacked when she beat Serena Williams to clinch her first Wimbledon title at the tender age of 17. This bombshell win was considered to be one of the most incredible upsets in sporting history at the time.
Sharapova didn’t stop there and she bagged herself four more Grand Slam trophies – enjoying a stint as number one female tennis player for an impressive 21 weeks.

The tennis ace was the world’s highest-earning female player from 2006 to 2016, largely due to her numerous off-court endorsements that came as a result of her exceptional talent.
According to Forbes, Sharapova raked in over $350 million (£275m) throughout her 19-year career, with an impressive $300m (£235m) earned away from the court.
Sharapova hung up her racket at the young age of 33 in 2020 following a first-round defeat at the Australian Open.
