Bellingham’s destiny ‘revealed’ after he seemingly made crude gesture at Euro 2024

Jude Bellingham’s Euro 2024 fate has been ‘revealed’, with claims UEFA are set to slap him with a fine.

Bellingham, 21, was seen seemingly making an x-rated gesture after his spectacular goal against Slovakia. The Real Madrid superstar came up big for England, netting with a bicycle kick in the 95th minute to save the Three Lions.

However, after cameras picked up on the gesture after his goal, UEFA launched an investigation – but he is set to avoid a suspension and could instead be handed a five-figure fine, according to Bild.

Following Sunday’s match against Slovakia, Bellingham took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to deny that he had intended to offend anyone with his gesture.

He posted: “An inside joke gesture towards some close friends who were at the game. Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight.”

UEFA said in a statement after the match: “A UEFA ethics and disciplinary inspector will conduct a disciplinary investigation regarding a potential violation of the basic rules of decent conduct by the English Football Association player, Jude Bellingham, having allegedly occurred in the scope of this match.

“Information on this matter will be made available in due course.”

Bellingham was seen performing a similar gesture after scoring a last-minute winner for Real Madrid against Barcelona last season – and, on that occasion, he did not face an investigation.

The 21-year-old will now likely be available for Gareth Southgate as England resume their Euro 2024 campaign against Switzerland on Saturday (July 6) in Dusseldorf.
