Paedo instructor ‘to get Lucy Letby remedy’ in jail with ‘fixed abuse’

Paedophile teacher Rebecca Joynes will “absolutely s*** herself” in jail where inmates will not hide their disgust of her, according to a former prisoner.

Frances Fattore, 44, is an ex-drug dealer who served alongside paedophiles and murderers at the infamous HMP Bronzefield.

And the reformed prisoner, who was inspired by Kate Middleton to turn her life around, spoke to the Daily Star about what Joynes can expect.

The former maths teacher was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child and two counts of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust and was jailed for six-and-a-half years on Thursday, July 4.

Joynes, 30, had a baby with a student and had warped excuses for having sex with two boys – from the pandemic to a breakup.

But now she’s behind bars, Frances, from Reading, gave an insight into how she will be perceived by others who will live alongside her.

She told us: “What she did is vile. Men get so penalised for it and women need to as well. Child sex offences is a no-no in prisons and the only people she will make friends with are other sex offenders. Nobody will be her friend.

“Obviously she is going to absolutely s**t herself. Anyone who goes to prison is petrified anyway because it is the unknown. But on top of that it is the unknown of is she going to get her head kicked in and where is she going to live?

“She will get abuse from the windows. If she is walking to work, people will scream out of the cell window and threaten her. The same as Lucy Letby will get. Wherever she walks around, she will get so much abuse and especially being fresh in there. She won’t know if it is a threat or something that is actually coming to her.”

Rebecca Joynes
Joynes was suspended from her ‘dream job’ at a high school in Greater Manchester

And asked if such yells ever relent, she added: “No, because of the nature of the crime, although it might calm down.”

According to Francesca, prisoners in Britain’s toughest jails will already be discussing Joynes after seeing her disturbing two-week trial on the news.

The predatory teacher arranged for one student, boy A, to stay at her home in October 2021. She bought him a £345 Gucci belt at the Trafford Centre before they had sex at her flat.

She was soon suspended from her job after this was exposed before she incredibly started another relationship with a pupil, boy B, who she later had a baby with.

And because her crime involved sexual activity with children, Francesca believes she will go straight to an enhanced wing, something she described as a protection wing.

Francesca herself was sent to a similar wing in Bronzefield called Houseblock Four where her cell neighbour was evil child killer Mairead Philpott.

She denied the charges but was found guilty at Manchester Crown Court

She was on the wing for good behaviour and was treated to her own shower in her cell – but said people like Joynes go straight there because of their notoriety.

“You get special treatment,” she told us. “I wanted to live there because I get a shower in my room and I want to go home and see my family and work outside. So I am not going to waste my energy on attacking a paedophile because the only person who gets affected is me with an extra sentence. That is why they put them on there because they get protected.”

Francesca now runs a group called UKExFemalePrisoner where she helps to create opportunities for ex-prisoners who she campaigns for. This was partly inspired by the Princess of Wales who sat down with her at HMP Send to hear her story.

Rebecca Joynes
There is no rehabilitation for Joynes, according to Francesca

But asked whether someone like Joynes could be reformed, she said: “This is a bit hypocritical but you know what you are doing. I knew I was selling drugs but I was an addict first of all and I started as an addict and didn’t plan on going further.

“I feel like shoplifting and selling drugs is a totally different crime to having sex with a minor. I don’t know… it is a really tough one.

“If I was to take my feelings away from it, then everyone deserves a second chance in life. But I can’t answer it because I don’t like what she has done. It is such a hard one.”

She added: “You are not sleeping with a 15-year-old boy because you need to feed your drug habit. You are doing it because you are attracted to that, you are wired wrong. There is no rehabilitation for that.”
