Jay Slater conspiracy theories swirl as his mates say ‘we ain’t drug mules’
Jay Slater’s best mate has hit back at trolls as conspiracy theories continue to heat up online.
Brad Hargreaves took to Instagram after a swathe of online abuse claiming: “Thinkin’ I’m involved in it all is beyond me.” He added: “We’ve been mates for years, came on our first holiday together and unfortunately this has happened.
“We ain’t drug mules or whatever…. people need to know the facts before talking s*** on the internet…”

Brad is one of the friends who went on holiday to Tenerife with the 19-year-old bricklayer who has been missing since June 17.
Along with another pal, Lucy Law, the trio flew out to attend the three-day NRG Festival. Earlier this week, Lucy, who has also been a target for vile trolls, shared an image of her and Jay along with a crying emoji.
Meanwhile, Jay’s devastated mum, Debbie Duncan has issued a fresh update on the case, the Sun reports.
A message on an official Facebook group says: “Debbie and family would like to thank the local hiking group who have worked tirelessly planning routes and searching for Jay they are extremely overwhelmed with the kindness of them all.
“Thank you.”
It comes as cops in Spain are being urged to look into an alleged theft of a £12,000 Rolex that Jay is said to have been involved in.
Former detetcive and TikTok sleuth, Mark Williams-Thomas who is unofficially helping to investigate Jay’s disappearance said the teenager admitted the theft to pals. But police have declined to discuss it.
They officially called off their search for Jay on June 30 after spending 14 days scouring the Masca Ravine and narrow caves surrounding the area where Jay’s phone last pinged.
Earlier this week, we reported how Jay had stayed at an Airbnb rented by convicted drug dealer, Ayub Qassim who told reporters: “I let the geezer stay at mine because he had nowhere else to go.
“His friends had all left him.”
He added: “The only comment I have to make is that Jay came to the house alive, and he left the house alive.”
Jay’s family have vowed to remain in Tenerife to look for him themselves.
The Lancs teen was last seen travelling with two mystery men in the north of the island in the Rural de Teno park before making a phone call to Lucy, telling her he was stranded in the “middle of nowhere” and facing an 11-hour walk back with no water and 1% phone battery.
Despite many wild theories raging online, Spanish authorities say there is “currently no evidence of criminality” in the case.
The family have also faced criticism over their use of the £50,000 donated via GoFundMe.
Debbie said: “My beautiful son is still missing and believe me this is no holiday. We are a normal working family going through hell.”
She added: “The mystery surrounding his disappearance may never surface.”
