Footy followers joke they’re going to ‘surrender sleep’ to observe viral Copa America Colombia fan
Football fans have vowed to ditch their sleep routine in order to watch a viral Colombia supporter at the Copa America.
In the early hours of Saturday morning here in the UK, Colombia dismantled Panama across the pond in the quarter-finals, winning 5-0 thanks to goals from Jhon Coroba, James Rodriguez, Luis Diaz, Richard Rios and Miguel Borja.
In dispatching Panama, Colombia set up a semi-final clash with former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa and Uruguay, with the winner facing off against either Argentina, or Jesse Marsch’s Canada. However, it was off the pitch that Colombia were turning heads at the Copa America, thanks to an interview with a busty fan who caught the imagination of the internet.

Ahead of Colombia’s clash against Panama, Colombian outlet ‘El Deportivo’ posted an interview with the cuvaceous fan who was wearing an indigenous headdress, complete with a minimal blue and yellow stripe number.
“I am a psychology student, 24-years-old and I really like the Colombian national team,” she said. “I enjoy supporting the football team a lot.

“The truth is that I had this plumage for a long time, I did a photo session and thought, well, I’m going to take a risk and wear the plumage to a Colombia national team match to see what happens, but I didn’t think it would attract so much attention.
The reporter then asked: “Are you going to do any of the charms that the indigenous people use to bless the Colombian national team players?” She replied: “I know this time we’re going to win. We’re going all out.”
The Colombia fan was then asked: “Who is going to score the goals for Colombia?” to which she responded: “James [Rodriguez] and I don’t know, Luis Diaz. God bless them. A kiss.”

And it’s safe to say football fans across the globe were willing to give up their sleep schedule in order to catch another glimpse of the viral Colombia fan.
One fan wrote: “Yeah I’ve actually been a life long Colombia fan.” Another added: “Guess I’ll stop sleeping at midnight just to watch the Copa America.”
A third said: “Whatever she said, I fully agree with her . VAMOS COLOMBIA!!!” And a fourth wrote: “We’re all Colombians now.”
