Miss England on hunt for subsequent Mr England after solely a handful of blokes enter

The newly crowned Miss England has joined the search for the next Mr England, after only a few lads put themselves forward for this year’s competition.

Organisers say Britain’s single chaps are proving “shy and slow” in putting themselves up for this year’s Mr England contest, and the chance to be Mr World, with only 20 men entering the competition since it launched three weeks ago.

This is in stark contrast to the Miss England event, which sees thousands of hopefuls entering the beauty contest each year with aspirations of being crowned the next Miss World.

Lifeguard Milla Magee, dubbed “the Cornish Pamela Anderson” by locals, currently dons the Miss England crown, and has headed to her local Newquay beach armed with a surfboard and wanted poster in an effort to find “handsome men” to enter the contest.

Organiser Angie Beasley, who also runs Miss England, said “We launched the Mr England contest about three weeks ago but so far there’s not many guys that have come forward to enter.

“So we enlisted the help of the current Miss England, Cornish lifeguard Milla Magee, who couldn’t wait to scout surfers in Newquay.”

“For me, the new Mr England must be kind and passionate about representing our country to the best of their ability we are looking for a positive role model, as he will be our representative at Mr World.
