Mum of seven with 800 tattoos makes England flag vow ‘if we win Euros’
A tattoo ‘addict’ mum revealed plans for her next etching – but will only get it if England win the Euros on Sunday.
Melissa Sloan, 46, who lives in Wales, got her very first inking when she was in her early 20s and hasn’t stopped since. For over half of her life, the mum-of-seven has built up a collection of over 800 tattoos.
She gets etched at home ‘prison style’ by her partner Luke so frequently that she’s lost count of the real number of permanent drawings she has on her body.

To keep up with her three-to-four a week ink count, Melissa’s football fever has inspired her to get a tattoo to honour the men’s England football team.
But, first, they have to beat Spain for the mum – originally from the north of England – to play ball with her at-home Amazon tattoo kit.
Speaking to Daily Star, Melissa exclusively told us: “I haven’t been watching it too much, but I know England won on Wednesday and went through to the final.
“I’ll get an England flag tattooed on my back, just a medium sized one. I’ve already got three small flags, one on my face and two on my arms.
“If England lose on Sunday I won’t remove them, I’ll still be proud of them. But, I’ll be getting behind England on Sunday and will drape an England flag over me.”
The England flag would be a welcome addition to Melissa’s body as she’s been on a mission to cover the entirety of her body – even her eyeballs.
So far, Melissa has amassed three layers of face ink, a cobweb piece on her boobs, a butterfly design on her vagina, multiple crucifixes and a massive Kray twins tattoo on her leg.
And, that’s only to name a few of the designs done on a whim that are often chosen by her children.
If England do not win and Melissa is left with a patriotic space in her heart – and on her skin – she’s been getting in the Euros mood in another fashion.
She’s hung various England flags outside her house in south Wales which has certainly riled a few locals whose team didn’t even qualify for the international tournament.
Melissa chuckled: “When I’m standing outside with my flags, the neighbours hate it because we’re in Wales. That hasn’t stopped me from waving the England flags in the street though.”
The mum is no avid England football fan, but she does love her home country and she’s proud to show that.
Nearly two years ago for the World Cup held in Qatar, Melissa explained the history of her England tattoos and shared that they were some of her very first inkings.
The mum even went as far as saying that she wished she could remove all of her tattoos so she could have two England flags under her eyes.
Melissa told us: “When I first started, I got these England flags under my eyes. If I could go back in time, I’d get it all off and just have two World Cup, England crosses right here on my cheek.
“It looks better there under the eyes.”
