The posh England fan who went viral after a 19 second interview with the Mail has been inundated with marriage proposals.

Jolie Sharpe, 22, has now been watched 37 million times and appears to have won a huge army of male fans after she was asked her thoughts about manager Gareth Southgate as she walked out of the stadium in Dortmund, Germany, with her parents and older brothers following England’s historic semi-final win against The Netherlands.

Her positive comments where she praised him and told him to ‘ignore the haters’ sparked an outpouring of love online with fans calling her ‘wife material’ and ‘England’s angel’ as thousands of men contacted her through social media.

In an exclusive interview, the bubbly presenter from North London revealed that one football fan even sent her £5 via Paypal so she could buy herself a pint ahead of tomorrow night’s final against Spain in Berlin.

She said: ‘One man said to me “Jolie, if we were in medieval times and you were the local Lord’s daughter I would trade my cattle and land for your hand in marriage” and another said that I said they preferred my voice to Usher.’

Speaking from Berlin, where she’s going to the final with her parents and older brothers, Jolie, said: ‘Honestly, I can’t actually put it into words, it’s been the craziest few days. We arrived in Berlin from Dortmund on Friday and when I’m walking along the street a few people have had to do a double take.

‘They’re like, “look, it’s that girl” my brothers were like, oh my goodness it’s actually happening.

‘While my mum said, don’t think this is going to stop you from doing your own washing! I couldn’t believe it when it first happened.

‘We were all on such a high after the game and there was a reporter from Daily Mail sport who asked if I’d have a little chat with him?

‘And I said “yeah” so we did a little chat, and then we carried on walking. I didn’t think nothing more of it.

‘We got back to our hotel that we were staying in and that night I was on FaceTime to my friend and another friend messaged me and said: “I’m sure you’ve seen this, this is hilarious” and I was like what? I then clicked on Twitter and by that point it had already got 200k views.

‘I was like, “oh my goodness!” I stayed up until four o’clock in the morning reading everyone’s comments which were all really lovely. Everyone has been so sweet and lovely.’

Within hours Jolie was getting messages from people all over the world, many wanting to marry her.

She was even recognised by Spanish broadcasters who were desperate to recreate her viral interview.

She said: ‘I’ve had so many messages. Someone asked me to go to New York so I could break his heart! I’ve had football fans from all over the world saying they are now supporting England after seeing my little interview which is just incredible. There’s been loads from England too saying they haven’t been watching the Euros but they were now planning on watching the final because of me.

‘When we first arrived in Berlin on Friday My mum and I were grabbing a drink in a cafe and there was a table of Spanish broadcasters sat next to us to cover the final, they were like, “you’re that girl, we’ve seen you everywhere, can we interview you?”

‘I politely declined but I couldn’t believe it, we were laughing.’

Jolie, who has her own marketing agency called JGS Live, has been in Germany since Tuesday when the family left their north London home to make the 400 mile drive to the tournament.

She said: ‘I’m here with my family, we are massive football fans, my brothers and dad are massive Chelsea fans but we’re out here for England.

‘What I think is very nice is, the country is united, everyone throughout the year all the clubs are so divided, and there’s so much tension amongst the fans, and then every two years the country comes together, everyone loves it, we all feel the same. There’s just so much positivity and you love all the players.

‘I’m the youngest, I’m the loudest, I do a lot of talking so it hasn’t really been a surprise to any of my family.

‘My brothers are my older protective brothers, I’m not sure they can bat off the 37 million people who have seen the video though.’

Jolie is now very much looking forward to watching England in the final and reckons we can beat Spain.

She said: ‘I love the atmosphere, the hope, the positivity from the fans being in Dortmund on the day of the semi-final you will just never forget it.

‘The energy is everything and it seems special to me creating these memories with my family and watching it all go on around us, the adrenaline and the feeling.

‘Us winning, it means so much to us all, we all just love it. We’re all so excited for the final, and do I think football is coming home? Absolutely.

‘My favourite player? It would have to be Cole Palmer because I am a Chelsea fan and he’s made a difference every game he’s played.’

Bubbly presenter Jolie whose marketing agency is an official partner of TikTok specialising in live selling, has worked with British Airways, Chelsea Football Club and The Economist.

Since her interview went viral she has also seen her Instagram followers go from six thousand to 40k. She said: ‘It’s all just so crazy but I’m making sure I enjoy every minute.’

The Three Lions made it to their second consecutive European Championship final on Wednesday night after second-half substitute Ollie Watkins scored a dramatic late winner to spark jubilant scenes of celebration in Dortmund.

And after the match, Mail Sport’s Aadam Patel interviewed Jolie Sharpe, who, asked what her reaction to Watkins’ goal was, she said: ‘I can’t actually remember, there was so much beer in my face but it was amazing, bring on the final!’

Sharpe then said to Southgate: ‘Keep it up. Block out the haters, you’re doing a good job. Keep up the hope and we’ll get there.’

And fans reacted positively to her message to the England boss.

One said: ‘Southgate definitely pulled the right strings with his substitutions today and they paid off in a big way.’

Another wrote: ‘Finally someone appreciating Southgate!’

Meanwhile, a third added, ‘Spot on! Well said.’

‘We are all with England it’s coming Home finally’, a fourth fan said reacting to Mail Sport’s video.

However, one fan didn’t understand the praise for Southgate, claiming the England boss has been ‘lucky’.

He said: ‘Southgate hasn’t done anything spectacular for him to get praised , players individual brilliance, luck and like today referees helping them. Southgate is not HIM’.

England will seek to go one step further by winning their first major trophy since 1966 when they take on Spain in Sunday’s final in Berlin.
