Mrs Hinch shares emotional put up about grief after 8-week break

Mrs Hinch has returned to social media following an eight-week break to share a poignant message about grief as she remembered her late father Alan.

The cleaning influencer, 34, used her social media platform to sympathise with people grieving a loss and candidly talk about her healing process.

The author, real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, shared that her beloved dad had passed away ‘peacefully whilst he slept’ in April.

The internet star has now taken to her Instagram page with a touching message as she reflected on the ‘deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words’.

The first black and white picture captured Sophie with her two sons Ronnie, four, and Lennie, two, as they were seen playing outside.

Sophie – who shares her two children with husband Jamie Hinchliffe – added a text on the picture reading: ‘Grief is a pain I can’t think of the words to fully explain.

‘If it’s something you’ve never experienced before, all I will say, is that it  takes your legs from underneath you.’

The carousel continued with a series of written slides, saying: ‘I’d be lying if I say I was okay… In fact, I feel broken. I feel an extreme mix of emotions and not too much makes sense to me right now.

‘It’s like I’ve entered this new part of my world, where only grief sits, and it feels heavy; something I can’t describe unless you’ve been there.

‘For now I’m really trying to navigate this new life without one of the people I love the most; one of my biggest support systems. I feel like my dad taught me everything I needed to know, except how to live without him.

‘I wanted to come on here and say thank you so much for all the overwhelming amount of love and support. I may not be able to get back to you all right now, but I see you and I’m so grateful.

‘Thank you for being patient with me while I try to find my feet again alongside my family, who I am SO incredibly proud of and who I love with my whole heart.’

She finished signing off: ‘All the best, Love Soph xxx ILYD.’

In addition to the heartbreaking statement, she added an emotional caption writing: ‘Loss changes everything about you and the way you see the world. You are living in deep pain, unable to relate and wondering why the sun keeps rising like nothing happened.

‘But I just wanted to say Thank you. I may not be able to get back to you all right now, but I see you and I’m so grateful.

‘I’m really hoping to find my feet again one day, my family is my everything. Soph.’

Her previous Instagram post was a very touching tribute to her late father following his death, as she remembered him fondly with a slew of sweet throwback pictures.

Some captured the pair hugging at Sophie’s wedding, before the doting dad made a father of the bride speech on his daughter’s special day.

She accompanied the sweet carousel with an emotional message: ’25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept.

‘My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words.

‘My loving Dad, Our boys’ beloved Grandad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going.

‘Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad. My absolute king. Your Bubberloo.’

Sophie finished adding a quote: ‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go’.’

Sophie did not reveal her father’s cause of death in the heartfelt statement but just weeks before his death she informed fans that her father had been in hospital for three weeks.

She said at the time: ‘So, my dad is in hospital at the moment. My dad has never been blessed, shall we say, with fantastic health, from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He’s always struggled.’
