Jay Slater sleuth appears for ‘bare’ lacking Brit on isle as Tenerife search ends

A Tiktok sleuth who became a key figure in the search for Jay Slater has now flown out to Sardinia in a bid to find another missing Brit.

Paul Arnott spent three weeks in Tenerife helping Jay’s family with the hunt for him. Sadly, it ended with a body being found yesterday which was later confirmed to be that of the 19-year-old. And it now seems as if Arnott was not willing to hang around in Tenerife much longer, as he has already posted a TikTok update of himself heading to Italy.

Michael Frison, the 25-year-old went missing three days ago and has been described by his mother Cristina Pittalis on Facebook as being “thin” and potentially disoriented, stating he had stripped off his clothes and vanished into the rural landscape at 5.18pm on Saturday.

She said: “Michael still hasn’t been found. The search has begun. Firefighters and Forest Guard are doing their best to find him. He is a very sweet boy, you can approach him without fear, please, if you see him stop him, talk to him, but don’t leave him alone.

“The police are looking for him but the area is too wide. Please, if you can, look in your lands, in your homes. If you get a chance, please go and help with the research.

“But don’t go alone, blindly, talk to fire groups, or civil protection, offer your support, ask what and how you can help. They know how to move, and how to coordinate the research groups Please, we need your help.”

And it seems as though that call has been heeded by Arnott, who has gone out there to help. Posting on both TikTok and YouTube, he captioned the clip “Missing in Sardinia” and showed himself at the airport in Tenerife to head to Italy.

Claiming he’s had “loads” of messages telling him to go there and help, he said: “I am going to fly out to Sardinia and see if I can help – people have described me as a ‘tiktok detective’ but that’s not what this is, I’m just being an extra pair of eyes.

“I don’t really expect too many people to have heard about this, as it’s got zero media coverage, so hopefully this will get it a little bit more exposure. Off to Sardinia . . . let’s do this.”

Local police has confirmed that the search is ongoing.
