Trump gunman ‘pushed over edge’ says man who practised taking pictures with him

A fellow shooter who knew the man who tried to assassinate Donald Trump has spoken out about what he thinks was going through his head.

Evil gunman Thomas Crooks, 20, came within inches of killing former President Trump with an AR-rifle at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania earlier this month with the current presidential candidate saying he felt the bullet ripping through his skin.

Now Bill Jenkins, from Pennsylvania in the US, has told the world about his encounter with shooter Crooks who he spotted working on his gun skills at a shooting range days before the assassination attempt.

The 62-year-old was even questioned by FBI agents about the encounter as they sought to get more information about the American shooter, dubbed a crazed loner.

Computer programmer Bill told The Sun he was “sitting next to evil” and hasn’t been able to sleep because he’s still thinking about it. He told the newspaper how Crooks brought his own 9mm handgun and busted a large hole in a shooting target.

Agents from an FBI field office contacted him on Tuesday (July 16) as they continue to try and piece together any valuable information about the shooter.

After the attempt on his life, Trump broke his silence saying: “I was shot with a bullet that pieced the upper part of my right ear.

“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realised then what was happening.

In his statement, Trump went on to thank The United States Secret Service and “all of law enforcement” for their “rapid response” to the shooting.

He added: “Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured. It is incredible that such an act can take place in our country.”
