Liberal media spiraled into a meltdown on Sunday afternoon following the historic news that Democrat Joe Biden stepped out of the 2024 presidential race.
CNN‘s Van Jones was emotional and teary-eyed on air while speaking about Biden’s decision to back out of the race and give the Democratic ticket up to Kamala Harris.
Meanwhile on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow gave viewers an emblazoned speech about how Biden’s decision to shy away from the election is not what he would have truly wanted – instead it’s something he’s done for the good of the country.
She said on Sunday: ‘I cannot see anywhere in his personality where this decision today is possible. This is the opposite of something that is natural or easy for him.’
‘He is just not built to do something like this. Him making this decision today is to give the country a reasonable chance at not putting Donald Trump back in the White House.’

CNN ‘s Van Jones broke down in tears, live on-air, while speaking about Biden’s decision to back out of the race and give the Democratic ticket up to Kamala Harris
Viewers were stunned while watching Jones’ tears on television. One person tweeted: ‘Van Jones is crying on CNN because of what Biden selflessly did for his country.’
Another wrote: ‘Van Jones crying on CNN is pathetic. Grow up man.’ While a third added: ‘Van Jones crying on CNN again. Get this guy OUTTA HERE.’
Last month, MSNBC host Maddow said she fears that Trump will put her in an internment camp in the event he is reelected this upcoming election season.
In an interview with CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcey, Maddow was asked about her concerns about being personally victimized by the Trump administration if he is to be winner of the 2024 presidential election.
‘Trump and his allies are openly talking about weaponizing the government to seek revenge against critics in media and politics, with some of his extremist allies even talking about jailing their fellow Americans,’ said Darcy. ‘You’re one of his most notable critics on television. Are you worried that you could be a target?’
Maddow replied: ‘I’m worried about the country broadly if we put someone in power who is openly avowing that he plans to build camps to hold millions of people, and to ‘root out’ what he’s described in subhuman terms as his ‘enemy from within.’
‘Again, history is helpful here. He’s not joking when he says this stuff, and we’ve seen what happens when people take power proclaiming that kind of agenda.’
‘I think there’s a little bit of head-in-the-sand complacency that Trump only intends to go after individual people he has already singled out. Do you really think he plans to stop at well-known liberals?
‘It also seems pretty clear that some people in politics might think they’ll be on the safe side — that they might even benefit from it — if they side with Trump. Ask Mike Pence about how that works out in the end.
‘When Trump invokes the Insurrection Act to deploy the U.S. military against civilians on his first day in office, do you think he then rescinds the order on day two?
She continued, ‘For that matter, what convinces you that these massive camps he’s planning are only for migrants? So, yes, I’m worried about me — but only as much as I’m worried about all of us.’

President Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race on Sunday – setting off an unprecedented chain of events that sets Democrats scrambling to have a nominee for the top of the ticket in place with less than four months to go before Election Day.
The Democratic National Convention is set to kick off August 19 through 22 in Chicago where Biden had been set to formally accept the nomination having received 3,896 delegates during the primaries.
More than 4,600 delegates and thousand of other party officials will now head to the city without Biden as the presumptive nominee for the Democratic ticket.
The president made the announcement in a letter to his fellow Americans where he wrote it has been the greatest honor of his life to serve as president while throwing his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.
‘While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,’ he wrote.
His announcement came just weeks after the president’s disastrous debate performance raised questions over whether he was fit for a second term.
Some Democratic lawmakers called publicly for him to exit the race. Others kept their opinions behind closed doors.
