Moment ‘Southport stabbing suspect’ walks down avenue close to social membership
The chilling moment the Southport stabbing suspect walked down the street minutes before he allegedly knifed three girls to death at a Taylor Swift dance event was captured on CCTV.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, remains in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following the attack on Monday.
Alice Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Stancombe, seven, were killed at the dance event when a hooded knifeman burst in and began stabbing the children in attendance.
CCTV footage shows a suspect walking down a residential street in the Banks area of Southport, shortly before the three girls were killed and several other people were critically injured.
The footage was captured just after 11am on Monday morning and appears to show a hooded person wearing a face mask and a green hoodie.

The suspect is seen with their head down, walking past a street of houses. He seemingly looks into the window of a house before walking off camera.
Five minutes later, at 11.16am, the suspect comes back on camera with his hand in his pocket.
Within walking distance of the images is a social club, where drama classes for children were set to take place later on Monday afternoon, according to ITV News.
Meanwhile, a skatepark on Hesketh Avenue as well as a convenience store is also in close proximity to the man, who was identified as the suspect by ITV News.
The same masked person was caught on camera minutes later on separate CCTV footage.
The footage appears to show the suspect walking outside a house by a road that was raided by police later that afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the stabbing at 11.47am.
Merseyside Police confirmed earlier this week that a 17-year-old boy, from Cardiff, has been arrested in connection to the stabbing.
He is currently being questioned on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
It comes as violent clashes have erupted between right-wing protesters and police in London this evening – as Britain braces itself for a second night of riots over the death of three girls in the Southport knife rampage.
Police were forced to put on riot gear after chanting activists threw cans and launched flares outside Downing Street as tensions continue to grow following the stabbing attacks on Monday.
Tributes have poured in for the three girls killed who were killed. Eight other children suffered stab wounds in the bloodbath. Five are in a critical condition, as are two women who bravely tried to save the children.
