Mum who killed daughters, 1 and 6, is in search of love and says she’s ‘delicate’
A killer mum who smothered her daughters to death is seeking a relationship – just one year after being convicted of the double murder.
Madison McDonald, 33, is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole after killing Lillian Mae McDonald, one, and Archer Hammond, six.
But we can reveal that the convict is spending her time behind bars by advertising herself on a companion site where she described herself as ‘sensitive’ and ‘resourceful’.

The website was started by a woman who moved 4,000 miles to marry and have a baby with a Death Row inmate – with many criminals now having accounts stating their intention to find love.
And writing in her bio just one year after being convicted of slaying her kids, McDonald said: “Given the opportunity, I enjoy being on the go! I am a high-energy individual. I am delicate and sensitive but my loved ones say I can also be critical and picky.
“I consider myself intelligent and resourceful. I have always been a great listener and people think I should have been a counsellor.”
Double murder
McDonald, who is from Texas, smothered her little girls in April 2021 after giving them a cocktail of sedatives. She then walked into the Irving Police Department to confess her heinous crimes and according to CBSNews Texas, she was described as “calm”.
McDonald reportedly told officers she would do whatever it took – including “eliminating” her girls – to stop them “being abused”.
It was later revealed that no abuse had taken place and her defence team tried to argue she was insane – but members of the jury ruled otherwise.
Her own mother, Julie Kidd, told the court her daughter had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
However, the jury took under an hour to convict her of capital murder after forensic psychologist Kristi Compton outlined her belief that McDonald was aware of her actions and was not insane.
She said: “In my opinion she was mentally ill, and I believe that the mental illness undergirded the offence. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that.
“But it did not render her to the point that she did not understand that her conduct was wrong or illegal, and therefore my opinion was she did not meet the criteria for not guilty by reason of insanity.”
McDonald had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity but she will spend the rest of her life in prison.
She hopes to pass her time writing to people via Wire of Hope where her profile is registered until February 2026 – meaning members of the public can now contact her. The mum shared three glamorous pictures and also described herself as being straight and Christian.
Wire of Hope
The penpal site was started by two friends who are striving to help change the lives of incarcerated people.
A statement on the website reads: “A prison correspondence helps them escape the daily monotony and darkness, feel human again, appreciated, and sometimes even loved. To sum up, by writing to an inmate, you could brighten up someone’s day, week, month, even, Actually, you could change a life.”
One of the founders is a woman called Sigrid who herself began sending letters to a killer before moving from France to live closer to the Union Correctional Institution in Florida.
The man she fell for was Alan Wade. He was sentenced to death after the robbery, kidnapping and murders of retired couple Reggie and Carol Summer who he – along with accomplices – buried alive in 2005.
She later had a baby with Alan behind bars and said in 2021: “I started writing to Death Row inmates because I was against the death penalty. I believe in second chances and rehabilitation.
“When I started to realise I was having feelings for him and him for me, we both got scared. We took a step back and we tried to stop writing to each other and we were both miserable. And after six weeks he wrote back – his first words were ‘I love you’.”
She added that her family were angry at her decision – saying they thought she was the “worst person ever”.
But Sigrid said Wade, whose death penalty sentence was overturned to a life sentence, was the man who makes her happy and she therefore does not see why it bothers other people.
