George Mills in livid row with French rival as he tumbles in 5000m
Team GB star George Mills reacted with fury after being tripped over in the final lap of his men’s 5,000 metres heat.
The Olympian – who is the son of former Premier League defender Danny Mills – was one of four runners to be felled during a dramatic sprint finish.
Mills was sitting in the middle of the pack when he tumbled to the track after colliding with one of his rivals.
After eventually crossing the line in 18th place, he stormed over to France‘s Hugo Hay and started pushing him.
Replays of the race appear to show Hay shoving Mills into the path of the other races, which sent him flying onto the ground.
This is a breaking news story. More to follow.
