Sydney trainer is charged with sexually abusing a pupil
A recently married PE teacher has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old boy under her care at a school in Sydney.
Police were called to a school in the city’s southwest on Tuesday where they arrested Tayla Lee Brailey, a 30-year-old high school teacher.
She was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with sexually touch a person between 17 and 18 under special care and sexual intercourse with a person under care between 17 and 18 under special care.
The teacher has been refused bail and is due to face Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday.
She is being held at the Amber Laurel Correctional Centre.

Brailey completed a bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education at the University of Wollongong in 2017.
She then started working for the NSW Department of Education in October, 2017.
The 30-year-old became engaged to her partner in December, 2021 and tied the knot in September last year.
She celebrated her Hens party in Bali with friends and family, enjoying time at the popular Finns Beach Club, with several snaps shared to social media.
She also appeared on Channel Seven’s quiz show The 1% Club earlier this year.
