Forget bums, legs or flowing locks – Brits say eyes are sexiest physique half

Forget boobs, bums, legs or flowing locks – Brits consider eyes the sexiest body part.

More than a third (34%) said someone’s eyes were the biggest turn-on when it came to looks. Hair was a hit for just one in 10, followed by a person’s lips, mouth or legs (7%), a study found.

‌Only 6% said breasts or a muscular chest were top, followed by arms (5%) and shoulders (4%). Most (39%) are attracted to blue eyes, while 17% prefer brown and 13% go for green.

Lead author David Frederick said: “If you’re trying to figure out why men – especially young men – spend so much time at the gym, here’s your answer.

“The stereotype is that men work out to compete with each other, but our research suggests that pumping iron is a way for men to enhance their attractiveness to women.

“A lot of mate-selection research focuses on what men find attractive.

“This shows women are putting a premium on attractiveness. Women care about muscularity when they choose sex partners.”
