Huge blaze at disused Crewe warehouse spills into neighbours’ gardens
A huge blaze that erupted at a disused warehouse has spread into several local residents gardens in Crewe.
A total 15 fire engines have descended onto the scene after the inferno erupted at the former printers on Frances Street at around 4:15pm today.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are continuing to desperately tackle the fire using hose reel jets to dampen the flames as quickly as possible.
Some residents in the nearby area have been evacuated while others have been told to stay indoors after the blaze spilled into a number of surrounding properties.
Emergency services have closed several roads in the area while locals have been asked to keep windows and doors closed.

The inferno erupted at a former printers (pictured) on Frances Street at around 4:15pm today.
Superintendent Claire Jesson said: ‘I’d like to reassure local residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident, which is not linked to the recent disorder we’ve seen elsewhere in the county.
‘A large number of officers are in attendance at the scene to manage road closures and provide reassurance to the community.
‘While our colleagues from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackle the fire, we would urge residents in the nearby area are advised to stay indoors with their windows and doors closed at this time.
‘I would also urge people not to congregate at the scene as it could hamper our response to this incident’

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Fire crews are at the scene of a disused building fire.
‘Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets to dampen the flames as quickly as possible.’
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: ‘Cheshire Fire and rescue are currently dealing with a large commercial building fire in Crewe.
‘We have multiple patrols on scene with a cordon in place to ensure the safety of nearby residents.
‘Please evacuate the area as directed by officers while fire crews are tackling the fire.’
