UK riot yobs mocked for ‘taking nation again one gingerbread man at a time’

Dozens of looters who ransacked high street stores during the UK riots have been shamed – and mocked – on social media.

As violence escalated across the country in the wake of the tragic Southport stabbings that saw three children killed, some so-called “patriots” vowed to “take back our country” – by robbing Gregg’s and swiping fake Crocs from Shoe Zone.

Making a stand against those “taking our jobs,” the clueless cretins lacked enough brain cells to cover their faces and their dodgy tattoos, which were swiftly plastered all over the internet.

Many viewers also delighted in seeing troublemakers, who squared up against cops in riot gear, get instant Karma after one thug was hit in the nads by a flying brick and another was bitten on the bum by a police dog.

Meanwhile, one woman hurtling towards officers with a burning bin, ends up falling over in front of them before swifly getting nicked.

Now many trouble-makers are making their way through the courts and facing jail time with law-abiding people keen to see them served justice.

In a string of viral memes on social media one user shared a picture of one man accused of looting Greggs in Hull along with the caption: “Taking back his country one Gingerbread man at a time.”

On X, another user shared pictures of the same alleged thief emerging from several shops with his haul wearing a distinctive top bearing the St George cross.

They posted: “I want to take my country back’.. What by looting some gingerbread men from Greggs, some bath bombs from Lush and a screen protector from O2?

“Yep that’ll do it. Honestly the brains of some people in this country.”

Another commented: “Gee-whiz that Saint George’s Cross hasn’t done him any favours he’s impossible to miss.”

“Bathbombs and cookies. That’s patriotic, that,” added another.

As images emerged of other suspected looters, one Facebook user added: “Imagine ending up in court for a pair of plastic Shoe Zone Crocs? I’d die of embarrassment.”

While one rewrote the words to Blur’s Parklife song commenting: “I get up when I want, except on Wednesdays when I get rudely awakened by the looters. I put my trousers on, have a cup a tea then I think about robbing a Greggs.

“I steal some sweet treats then nick bath bombs from a Lush store too.

“Then I’m happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge I’ve saved my country.”
