Google suffers worldwide outage as Search, Gmail, Gchat all cease working
Google appears to have suffered a worldwide outage as millions are unable to even search the internet.
Posts have flooded social media sites such as X from disgruntled users whose day has been disrupted.
Users reported being suddenly kicked out of video calls and Gchat being taken offline. However, the biggest issue was people were left unable to search.
One tweeted: “Is Google down for everyone?”
According to Downdetector, a huge spike in a number of reported problems with Google shot up at 2pm. A graph on the website shows no reports all day until the current reported outage.
A caption of the data reads: “This chart shows a view of problem reports submitted in the past 24 hours compared to the typical volume of reports by time of day.”
