Chloe Madeley reveals she and James do at all times agree over co-parenting

Chloe Madeley has revealed that she does not always see eye to eye with her ex-husband James Haskell when it comes to co-parenting their daughter, Bodhi.

The fitness guru, 36, and the former rugby player, 38, who married in 2018, confirmed they had split in a joint statement released in October.

And now she has opened to Closer Magazine about how even after nearly two years after welcoming their first child, they still do not always agree on parenting styles.

She told the publication: ‘We have always found a way to do it but it’s not always great.

‘We have really hard times with it sometimes.

‘We also still argue- there is no denying that and it will probably be this way forever.’

She then confessed that no matter how hard it may get between them, they have agreed to weaponise their little one or use her as a bargaining tool.

Despite their ‘tricky’ episodes, Chloe revealed there are days were they can be ‘very good friends’.

This comes just days after she defended James after some fans have continued to bad mouth him.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: ‘There’s kind of like a heavy insinuation that he’s not a nice guy.

‘And look, James and I went through our battles. But we’re co-parenting really well, and 50 per cent of that accolade is on him.

‘I want him to have some of that respect from people, which I don’t see him getting.’

They first fuelled speculation about their split after Chloe emerged without her wedding ring as she partied with friends – shortly after James was pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightspot.

The couple who had starred in their own ITV reality show Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, announced: ‘Chloe and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023.

‘We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.’

She added: ‘Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time.

‘Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter. We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love.’

Sharing his own statement to Instagram, James added: ‘It’s with a lot of sadness I write this post, but unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done.

‘My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won’t be commenting any further.’

In May of this year, Chloe opened up about how her separation from her estranged husband ‘was f***ing awful’ as she gave an insight into their relationship.

Chloe admitted the pair broke up as they both wanted their relationship to ‘stop being awful’ and ‘miserable’.

The couple still live together in their north London home and are often spotted together with Bodhi as they try to make the break-up as amicable as they can for their little girl.

Despite some fans thinking the two are back together because of this, Chloe confirmed that they have both moved on adding that she expects the former England player to find someone soon.

She said: ‘It’ll probably happen for James long before it happens to me, if it hasn’t already.

‘I’m waiting for the conversation to happen at some point.’
