Girl, 9, is killed after being hit by bus in horror crash

A nine-year-old girl who was killed in a horror crash with a double-decker bus has been named as nine-year-old Ada Bicakci.

The primary school girl died in hospital on the afternoon of Monday August 5 two days after she was struck by the vehicle alongside a five-year-old boy in Bexleyheath, south-east London.

The kind girl once cut her hair off for charity, and has been described as a keen gymnast and swimmer.

The male driver of the bus was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and drug-driving. He has been bailed to a date in early November pending further enquiries.

Ahead of her multi-faith funeral, Ada’s family confirmed that her organs were used to help save the lives of six other children.

She passed away in hospital on August 5 after the horrific crash, which took place on Watling Street, Bexleyheath.
