Five-year-old’s chilling admission sends shivers down his mum’s backbone
Most parents take their children’s tall stories with a pinch of salt.
But when five-year-old Luke Ruehlman randomly started talking about an African American woman called Pam, some eerie details began to emerge. His mum, Erika admitted that when she asked her son who Pam was, his response sent shivers down her spine.
“He turned to me and said, ‘Well, I was. Well, I used to be, but I died and I went up to heaven,” she told Fox8. “I saw God and then eventually, God pushed me back down and I was a baby and you named me Luke.'”

The family from Cincinnati, Ohio, were taken aback when their son claimed he had travelled by train in Chicago, a city they had never visited with him.
Luke shared haunting details about his attempts to flee a burning building before he “met God.”
Erika decided to delve into the strange claims and was stunned to discover that a woman called Pam Robinson was one of 19 victims who leapt from a window during a fire at Chicago’s Paxton Hotel in 1993.
Erika added: “He used to say: ‘When I was a girl, I had black hair’ or he would say: ‘I used to have earrings like that when I was a girl.'”
The producers of a paranormal investigations TV show, The Ghost Inside My Child also delved into Luke’s intriguing case.
During the programme, he was presented with a page full of photos of black women in their 30s and was asked to identify Pam.
Remarkably, he managed to pick her out on his first attempt, as shown on the programme.
In light of this eerie revelation, Luke’s mother decided to get in touch with Pam’s family.
She revealed that they described Pam’s personality and pointed out uncanny similarities between her and Luke, such as their shared love for Stevie Wonder and playing the keyboard.
But Pam’s family chose to remain silent and not speak publicly about the situation when approached by Fox8.
Meanwhile, after the story resurfaced on social media, many were quick to have their say.
One wrote: “My twins used to ask me if I remembered their old mom when they were about 2-3. They don’t remember her anymore. But I think its interesting, they must have been twins before too, or at least siblings, because they both remembered the same woman.”
Another wrote: “The University of Pennsylvania has an ongoing study about children claiming to remember past lives. They were left money specifically for this purpose. They investigate credible claims and have been documenting the results for many years. There is an overwhelming body of research now which would be nearly impossibly to falsify from families across the planet. It becomes even more interesting when the child claims to be from another part of the world and has no reason to know about other countries and what they look like, etc.”
While one wrote: “Thanks to the internet and cable TV the stories keep coming and coming. This one seems impressive.”
