Most frequent EuroMillions numbers unveiled as one holds ‘magical significance’
We all dream of scooping a lifechanging EuroMillions jackpot but accept our chances are pot luck.
But it’s now been revealed that some numbers are luckier than others – one is even believed to have “magical significance.” Online gaming provider, CasinoScout has delved into the most frequently drawn numbers over the last 20 years, spotting that the number 23 leads with 202 appearances.
It was most recently drawn on July 26 and has “some sort of magical or mystical significance,” according to CasinoScout number crunchers.

That number is closely followed by numbers 19 and 44, which have jointly turned up 198 times. On the other side of the coin, ball number 22 showed up 141 times, making it the least frequent.
Odd numbers dominate, making up 60% of the most common numbers. The two most common numbers – 23 and 19 – are prime numbers.
Searches for the “most common Euromillions numbers” have surged by 200% in the UK, indicating that players are eager to maximise their chances of scooping the jackpot.
The most overdue numbers that have not been drawn since the beginning of the year are 5, 21, 28, 1 and 27.
There seems to be a fascination with the number 23 according to HowStuffWorks.
The number connects basketball superstar Michael Jordan, Beat Generation novelist William Burroughs, comedian Harpo Marx and mathematician John Forbes Nash, Jr.
In the Bible, Numbers 23:23 contains the phrase “What hath God wrought,” which happens to be the first message sent in code on the telegraph by Samuel Morse back in 1843.
If you add up the four digits of 1967, the year that Nirvana co-founder Kurt Cobain was born, they come to 23 – which is also the sum of the four digits for 1994, the year in which he died.
