South American footballer despatched off after nature calls when he is taking a nook
A Peruvian football was flashed a red card after he decided to take a leak by the side of the pitch.
Sebastian Munoz had been caught short just before his side took a corner – and so sensing an opportunity, thanks to the break in play, he relieved himself. However, the referee was unimpressed with his act, sending him for an early bath.
The incident happened in the 71st minute during a Copa Peru clash between Atletico Awajun and Cantorcillo FC. And to add more confusion, Munoz had only been sent off when one of the Cantorcillo players caught him in the act and pointed to make the referee aware.

“Reminder that Gary Lineker s*** himself on the pitch at World Cup ’90. Didn’t even get a yellow card for it,” one fan joked. While a second said: “What’s the crime here! Having a p***, a succulent building site p***? This is Peruvian democracy manifest!”
“When nature calls, you gotta do what you gotta do,” a third posted. And another added: “Utter woke nonsense!”

Munoz initially looked baffled at the red card – and he could be seen asking the official about his offence.
The referee put no ear to his request and asked Munoz to leave the pitch, leaving the Peruvian fuming. Munoz isn’t the only footballer to be sent off for relieving themselves on the pitch, and the exact same scenario played out in the National League in 2017.
Salford keeper Max Crocombe was sent off for urinating match against Bradford Park Avenue. “He was told by the steward twice not to do it and he went ahead and had a pee,” said Park Avenue secretary Colin Barker.
Crocombe later apologised, saying he has been in an “uncomfortable position” and made “an error in judgment”.
Writing on his Twitter account, he added: “My intention was never to offend anyone and I’d like to apologise to both clubs and sets of supporters.”
In 2016, Mansfield forward Adi Yussuf was handed a fine and a five-game ban after peeing at the back of a stand while his side played in a League Two clash against Plymouth. While Jens Lehmann memorable took a leak behind an advertising hoarding in 2006.
