The English singer-songwriter features on the hit track Florida!!! off Taylor’s most recent album The Tortured Poets Department.

While the singer famously saves the songs not on the usual setlist for the ‘Surprise’ section of the show, she seemed to make an exception on this occasion.

The pair skipped down the walkway together before hugging after their performance.

Fans were sent into overdrive on Twitter as they gushed that the duo were ‘Queens’.

Others exclaimed: ‘WHAT JUST HAPPENED I’M SCRWAMINGSBAJAK’; ‘FLORIDA! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh INSANE!’; ‘No explanation just Florida!!!!’

Another joked: ‘Everyone clowning for rep tv and/or documentary announcement: … Taylor: hehe Florida!!!’

Another asked: ‘Why would Taylor bring Florence and the Machine on stage during TTPD and not the surprise songs set like she normally does with guests? What is she saving for today’s surprise songs?’

Another teased: ‘As a Floridian… I feel so disrespected right now. Like can we have anything!?! You wrote a whole song about Florida and you play it in London? Right before your Miami shows….’

Yet Florence wasn’t the only guest as later in the show, during the surprise section the star brought out her best friend and producer Jack Antonoff.

As Taylor gushed over the privilege of ‘getting to work with her best friend’ the crowd went wild as Jack entered the stage.

The pair then performed a collaboration of Death By A Thousand Cuts from her album Lover and Getaway Car from Reputation.

It isn’t the first time Taylor has treated her fans to a surprise guest after Ed Sheeran joined her on stage during her show on Friday.

The pair, who are long-term friends and co-collaborators, were greeted by screams and huge cheers from the 92,000-strong crowd in London.

The singer-songwriters’ performed their song Everything has Changed from the 2012 album Red, followed by End Game from Reputation.

The duo then sang an emotional acoustic rendition of Ed’s hit Thinking Out Loud while bright green lights shone out from the stadium.

Before he left the stage, Taylor showered him with compliments and while hugging him described him as a ‘second brother’.

She said: ‘Now he is someone that plays Wembley like every week. This is regular for him and he works so hard. He’s probably so tired but he wanted to come play for you and do this for all of you.’
