Adult star Sophia Leone’s reason for dying shared after being deemed ‘suspicious’
Adult film star Sophia Leone passed away after an accidental drug overdose, authorities revealed on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old former model was found dead in her Albuquerque home on March 1, with the tragedy initially investigated by police as “suspicious” and “unique”. There were no reported signs of trauma on Sophia when officials discovered her body.
But now Albuquerque police have confirmed Sophia accidentally overdosed, without revealing which substances the model ingested. Sophia’s mother had told authorities her daughter had a history of suicidal thoughts and was know as a heavy drinker, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.
Back in March, officials brought in a homicide detective to assist with the investigation. “We do not know at this time if she is a victim of a crime, so this is a unique situation,” Albuquerque Police had told TMZ.
Sophia’s step-father Mike Romero launched a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses, which raised over £10k. At the time he described Sophia as a “beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend.”
He added: “The sudden loss of Sophia has left her family and friends devastated and in shock, on top of the difficult process of grieving and seeking justice for Sophia the family is also facing the financial burden that they were not prepared for.”
Sophia broke into the adult film industry in 2014, starring in more than 80 films according to her IMDB page.
In a moving tribute after her death, fellow adult film star Riley Jean, wrote: “I’m so f**king sorry to anyone who knew Sophia. Her and I interacted with each other a handful of times but we were never super close.
“If anybody needs someone to talk to please feel free to send me a message. This is a hard time for all of us.”
Sophia had encouraged her 300,000 followers to “go outside and just appreciated life a little extra today” in a tragic final Instagram post dated last September.
