School capturing horror as gunman opens hearth on lecturers with three individuals killed

A gunman has stormed a school killing at least three people.

The shooting began at around 10.15am local time in Sanski Most, Bosnia. Three people are understood to have been killed in the gunfire and at least one more left injured who has been rushed to hospital, according to spokesperson for the government’s Interior Ministry Adnan Beganović.

Local outlets have reported the suspect was previously employed as an assistant at the school. The suspect is undertood to have opened fire during a meeting. Police have begun an investigation.

Mr Beganović said: “According to the information so far, three people have died, while one person has sustained physical injuries, and his transport to the University Clinical Center of the Republic of Srpska [and area in Bosnia] is underway.”

The victims have been named locally as school director Nijaz Halilović, English teacher Gordana Midžan and Nisveta Kljunić. Local reports indicate the bodies of the three teachers were taken to the Sanki Most Health Centre nearby.
