Jermaine Jenas admits ‘even canine is ashamed of me’ as X says ‘give me energy’
Jermaine Jenas admitted he has let many of those close to him down after the BBC fired him — including his dog.
The disgraced footballer and TV presenter was sacked by the broadcaster following allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards two female colleagues.
It’s claimed the 42-years-old, who hosted The One Show and regularly appeared on Match of the Day, sent inappropriate messages to a female employee.

The ex-footballer insists that he’s “done nothing illegal”, despite admitting sending “inappropriate messages” to several women due to a “self-destructive streak”. This includes “frantically” sexting a woman he meet at a boozy work event for 24 hours.
Regardless of which side of the law his actions sit on, it seems he is now battling his own sense of shame as well as the anger and hurt of his ex-model wife and mother of three of his children, Ellie, who has booted him out of the bedroom they share their £1million Hertfordshire pad.
It appears even his dog has an opinion about his dismal behaviour.
Speaking to The Sun, Jenas said: “I’ve let everyone down. Even my dog looked at me disappointed.”
Most of the people commenting on X (formally Twitter) have expressed little sympathy for the footballer, with one person commenting: “‘Even my dog looked at me disappointed.’ Give me strength.”
Another turned the comment into a meme of a sausage dog giving sassy side eye, while a third wrote: “Jermaine Jenas got told ‘You will be the next Gary Lineker, Jermaine!’ Rumour has it, he thought that his agent said ‘Wayne Lineker’.”
However other people had a begrudging sense of pity for the former athlete.
One person wrote: “Far from Jermaine Jenas’ biggest fan but that poor lad is been thrown to dogs by BBC for a few txts while Huw Edward’s was protected and paid wages. Not to mention rest lol.”
Another brutally quipped: “It’s a shame for Jermaine Jenas that he isn’t a raging paedophile cos he could’ve just got 6 months full pay from the BBC.”
A third commented: “The BBC didn’t even sack Jimmy Saville. They protected him. Jermaine Jenas made a mistake but he shouldn’t get a heavier punishment than Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris and Huw Edwards put together.”
