Woman ‘killed by Tinder date had tongue reduce out to cease screams’

A woman tourist stabbed to death ‘by her Tinder lover’ on tropical island Mauritius had her tongue cut out ‘so she could not call for help’.
A post mortem examination revealed university teacher Zaliya Shamigulova, 29, revealed multiple wounds to her chest.
But it was found that her tongue and throat had been cut from her mutilated body, which was found naked in a shallow grave.
Detained suspect Puryavirsingh Sundur, 29, an IT engineer from Mauritius, met the tourist via dating app Tinder, according to Russian reports.
He ‘confessed’ to her killing and explained how he had stabbed and mutilated the tourist, according to law enforcement sources.

Detectives were still seeking to find the missing body parts and also her clothing, said local media outlets.
Despite this a funeral ceremony was held for the tragic tourist before her body was to be returned to Russia.
Detectives suspect the killer had intended to cut up her body but in the event buried it in a makeshift grave on the island.
The suspect was reported to have led police to the grave in La Marie, a residential area.
He confessed to the killing after her blood was found in his car, and alleged that he had discovered she had been unfaithful to him.
She was last seen wearing a white and blue dress on video getting into a blue Toyota car.
It was the last time she was seen alive, and she was reported missing by a female travelling companion.
Her relatives in Russia received messages purportedly from her saying she had decided to disappear and not to contact her.
One report said the suspect ‘went to take the Russian woman sightseeing on the island, but in a fit of jealous rage, he pulled out a knife and brutally killed his lover before stripping her and burying her body.’
The dead woman had recently posted that on her Mauritius holiday she was ‘catching happiness every day.’
She had been a torch bearer ahead of the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014.
She was a university teacher from Chelyabinsk in the Urals.
She had been due to travel to Madagascar on September 1.
It is believed Ms Shamigulova, pictured onboard a fishing boat, met her alleged killer after being introduced on internet dating app Tinder
