Woman wants 9 stitches after being hit by airborne Hulk Hogan beer can

A woman required medical attention after she was taken out by a flying Hulk Hogan beer can.

The 50-year-old was at an event in Medina Township, Ohio, America, promoting the wrestling Hall of Famer’s brand of light lagers, Real American Beer.

As the wrestling icon took the stage at around 5.30pm on Monday, August 19 at music venue Thirsty Cowboy, the woman was knocked to the ground by a rogue can of booze, USA Today reports.

According to the Medina Township police report, some witnesses believe the Hulk was responsible for launching the beer can into the audience.

Other witnesses claim the can was lobbed by a crew member who was seen catapulting cans off the stage.

Speaking to News 5, the witness recalled the person was “throwing beers from the stage like a baseball pitch”.

Due to “conflicting accounts”, no arrests were made.

The Hulk launched his beers in June this year, and was on a 17-stop tour to distribute the “easy-drinking light lager” when the woman got knocked out.

According to a press release issued in June, Hulk Hogan was “excited to introduce Real American Beer to fans and beer lovers everywhere,” but perhaps didn’t intend on making the introduction so forcefully.

He said beer lovers enthusiastically traveled from Dresden travelled to Goerlitz in mid-July, with the photo shoot taking place in Goerlitz’s old town, with St Peter’s Church, a police van, and the pub itself.

Klaus said: “This was about the beer belly. Nobody questioned anything. The project was not about highlighting the body.”
