How Oasis reunion is Liam and Noel’s mom’s dream come true
Liam and Noel Gallagher‘s mother Peggy had ‘always urged’ her two sons ‘to stop arguing’ and will be ‘thrilled’ they have finally made up.
The doting Irish mum, 81, had pleaded since their public falling out in 2009 for the warring siblings to put the past behind so they could play together again.
And now Peggy will have her dreams come true with Oasis expected to confirm Liam, 51, and Noel’s, 57, reunion in an announcement tomorrow morning.
Former Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs was also reportedly a central figure as he took on the role as peacemaker to step in and urge the warring brothers to make up.
Noel ‘caved in’ after a string of late night phonecalls between the brothers with the promise of a reported £50million payday said to have persuaded the eldest Gallagher to bury the hatchet.

Yesterday, a source close to the Gallaghers told The Mirror that Peggy ‘would love to see them back playing together and has always urged them to stop arguing and put the past behind them’.
‘She will be thrilled too with what has happened,’ they said.
Peggy had told Liam as recent as last year to mend his rift with Noel during a mother and son spa break at the five-star Cliveden House in Berkshire ahead of her 80th birthday.
An insider told The Sun last January: ‘In recent years there has been distance within the family, especially with Liam and Noel at war.
‘Peggy has told Liam to mend the rift and she is hoping there will be genuine reconciliation.
‘Peggy was in a reflective mood and it would be the best birthday present if they’d finally make some steps towards patching up their feud.’
In Liam’s 2019 As It Was documentary, she opened up about her hopes of a reconciliation.

That year, Noel hinted he was finally willing to sort things out with Liam for the sake of his mother.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Noel said: ‘Our family has never been close. I don’t know one person, one single person, in my life who is living in the perfect family. Not one.’
He then added: ‘Reconciliation is a good thing.’
The Mancunian brothers have been estranged since 2009 – enduring a number of rows during their time in Oasis before the band finally split that year.
Tensions reached their peak in August when the siblings endured a fierce row backstage in Paris, which reportedly saw Liam throw a plum and smash Noel’s guitar.
Their appearance at the Rock en Seine festival that evening was cancelled minutes before it was due to begin, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.
Two years later the row ended up in court in a bitter libel case leaving Peggy distraught.
She told her sons to ‘sort it out themselves’ and when quizzed at her Manchester home over whether she was upset, Peggy simply said ‘yes’.

The source told The Mirror: ‘Liam and Noel are talking again and the reunion is definitely happening. It has been a long time coming but things are back on track.
‘For years, Debbie has been trying to get Liam and Noel to patch things up. Bonehead is one of the few people they are both pals with and he has recently been trying too and it’s finally paid off.’
