Burning Man was ‘named by God’ and orgies ‘can be punished by the Lake of Fire’
The infamous Burning Man festival is known as one of the craziest events in the world and allowing mass romps in a “dusty” Orgy Dome has much to do with that.
Known for its radical self-expression and transformative experiences, the frenzied Nevada desert see revellers – also known as Burners – turn it into Black Rock City with themed encampments during nine days of unbridled festivities.
Notably, one of the most tantalising attractions is the pursuit of sexual adventure, with the Orgy Dome standing out as a hotspot for such activities.

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.
Set up within the And Then There’s Only Love (ATTOL) campsite, this legendary pavilion of passion has been giving burners an extra dose of love and connection since 2003.
Those who choose to live it up at the ATTOL must abide by the “radical self-reliance” rule integral to Burning Man culture, which entails being equipped with all the essentials for survival throughout the exhilarating nine-day bash nothing is supplied, not even water or showers, reports the Daily Star.
But while revellers get down and dirty – quite literally – some outsiders have questioned the morality of attending such an event and have even said Burners could be punished for their “sins”, including those carried out in the Orgy Dome.
One God-fearing X user suggested it was as though the Creator himself named the festival. “It is like this festival was named by God,” they wrote. “‘Burning man’ is the Lake of Fire punishment of what will happen if you live a life of sin.”
The festival’s name is said to come from the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy, or “the Man”, that takes place during the event traditionally on Labour Day.
And while some may think there’s more sinister intentions behind the event, Burning Man co-founder Larry Harvey said it is actually guided by 10 principles: radical inclusion, gifting, decommodification, radical self-reliance, radical self-expression, communal effort, civic responsibility, leaving no trace, participation, and immediacy.
In line with this, those indulging in amorous activities are prompted to come fully prepared. Spirit Dom, a proclaimed “proud camper” and Reddit user, says the Orgy Dome is strictly a BYO affair.
Insisting on preparedness, he advised: “We would encourage you to embrace radical self-reliance. We do not provide a shower or wet wipes and you should find ways to ensure you or your partners are properly protected. Bring some wet wipes with you”.
