Experts staggering low odds Oasis followers have of getting a ticket

Experts have revealed the staggeringly low odds Oasis fans have of getting their hands a ticket when they go on sale tomorrow.

Some 14million people are expected to get online at 9am tomorrow in the hopes of grabbing one of the sought after tickets for Liam and Noel Gallagher‘s first tour together in 15 years.

But bookmakers have put the odds of landing one of around 1.4million tickets for 17 concert dates at just 14/1.

This means fans have only a seven per cent chance of confirming their place at a gig tomorrow morning, according to Betfair.

Mobile Network Three has estimated that a staggering 36.2 million devices will tune in to the Oasis sale on Saturday morning, which each fan trying their luck on an average of 2.6 devices to maximise their chances.

Followers of the 90s star group were sent into a frenzy after Liam and Noel Gallagher  announced that ‘the guns have fallen silent’ and they would be reuniting to play to the nation next year.

In a survey of 500 UK Oasis fans, 68% said they would try for the chance to see their favourite band next summer. 

Some lucky fans will have a chance to get their seats booked early, through the pre-sale ballot which closed at 7pm on Wednesday.

Fans who received early access codes will have a chance at securing a coveted ticket tonight between 7pm and 10pm, but they are not guaranteed success as tickets will be sold on a ‘first come first served basis’. 

The email sent out at 12pm to successful applicants read: ‘Oasis Live ’25 UK Pre-Sale Ballot Access. You have been selected in the Oasis Live ’25 Ticket Ballot to access the pre-sale!’

But gutted fans shared their disappointment after the band confirmed that all codes had been sent out.

In a post on Oasis’s Instagram page said: ‘All ticket ballot codes have now been sent out to fans.

‘Please do not buy a code or transfer them to someone else. Codes only work with the registered email address. If you didn’t get a code to access the pre-sale, you can join the general sale tomorrow morning.’

Those who didn’t manage to bag a ticket through an early access code can still join the mad rush when general sale opens tomorrow morning. 

The 1996 Oasis gigs at Knebworth saw the largest demand for tickets in UK history, when around four per cent of Britons applied to see Liam and Noel.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: ‘As soon as Oasis announced they were getting back together demand for tickets to their reunion shows went Supersonic.

‘All the Talk Tonight is about what the chance are of you actually getting your hands on a ticket, and those that didn’t get a pre-sale code will have to Roll With It tomorrow morning in the general sale.

‘Our traders have crunched the numbers Little by Little, and the odds of you getting a ticket are around 14/1. Good luck!’
