Slash’s stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight’s explanation for dying at 25 revealed

Authorities in Los Angeles have revealed the cause of the July 19 death of Slash’s stepdaughter Lucy-Bleu Knight at 25.

Los Angeles County’s medical examiner released a statement Thursday saying that Lucy-Bleu Knight’s cause of death was hydrogen sulfide toxicity, and that the ‘manner of death is suicide.’

Officials said that ‘Knight was found unresponsive in a private residence on July 19 by law enforcement conducting a welfare check,’ and that she was pronounced dead at 3 p.m. local time.

A deputy medical examiner conducted the exam on July 22, and certified the cause of death as of Thursday, officials said.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website said that Hydrogen sulfide is ‘a colorless, flammable, highly toxic gas’ and that symptoms of acute exposure ‘include nausea, headaches, delirium, disturbed equilibrium, tremors, convulsions, and skin and eye irritation.’

Three hours after Slash posted the announcement, a selfie of Lucy alongside a caption was shared on her Instagram.

It read: ‘Whether I made you feel excluded, manipulated/ controlled you, told you to quit your day job from the comfort of being financially supported by my parents, or drowned real issues in toxic positivity-I am sorry.

‘Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.’

MailOnline contacted Slash’s representatives for comment at the time.

Hours before the tragic announcement, Slash canceled a series of tour dates due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

The message read: ‘Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour regrettably has to cancel the below performances. Refunds will be available at points of purchase.

‘The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour will resume in Toronto on July 28, 2024 at Budweiser Stage. We love our fans and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.’
