Model ‘threatened’ after stripping down for bikini photoshoot in public
A bikini model claims she was ‘threatened’ after posing for a public photoshoot.
Digital creator Khyati Shree took to social media to share that on Thursday, August 29, she was supposedly stopped by police at Udupi beach in Karnataka, a state in southwestern India, for wearing a bikini.
The model said she asked the officers why she needed to change – to which, she claims the officer pointed “at some goons” and told her she would get “beat” if she weren’t to change clothes, as reported by Times of India.

According to Khyati’s Instagram post, she was enjoying a photo shoot in the sea with her husband at Padubidri Blue Flag Beach when the incident took place.
However, police have disputed her claims and said they attended the location following complaints from locals that a couple was “behaving indecently”.
Khyati’s social media post explained that the couple were “having a good time”, when a police officer allegedly questioned her husband about “a permit for clicking pictures.”
Khyati’s husband supposedly clarified that wearing a bikini on the beach was “absolutely legal” and therefore no permit was required.
The stunning model hit out about the supposed incident where she blasted the police and said: “Instead of protecting my rights, cops came to morally police me.”
The police force has said it is prepared to take the appropriate legal action if Khyati decides to complain about the incident.
